Thank
everyone for coming to this talk. Some
of you may have attended this morning’s MMS talk on “Production & Measurement
Trends”
My
presentation will focus on something different than traditional MMS talks –
Gas Reporting and Verification
There are probably not many who are directly involved, but some of you are indirectly involved. Please forward this information to the appropriate people in your organization.

Feel free to jump in with comments and questions at any time

The
January 1, 2004 Notice to Lessees specified the requirements of Gas Volume Statements

FMP=Facility measurement point

Maybe this person doesn’t want us to call!

Reports
submitted to MRM, where they ensure that the proper royalties are paid on the
production volumes
MRM
gives 2 ½ day training, so I will just be scratching the surface on reporting
OGOR
A reports prod & injection for each producing interval of a well. Also, reports drilling & abandonment activity.
OGOR
B shows how you disposed of each product produced on Part A; every bbl and mcf
from Part A acct for on B.
OGOR
C tracks the sales from inventory.
PASR used to allocate commingled production.

Each well must be reported monthly until P&A’d

FMP is assigned for every measurement point

I like to use the word “confirms”

Show
volumes allocated to each upstream point
Other Sources is used to report volumes that are not attributable to Federal Sources; also used to report prod that has been remeasured.

01-Sales subject to Royalty; 20-Gas used on lease (royalty not due as long as used for the benefit of the lease from which it is produced)

Ending Inv must appear as Beginning Inv in following month.

This
is partial PASR
PASR used primarily as research tool; if MMS has rec’v all the OGOR’s in a system but they come up short of system total as shown on the PASR (and run tickets that we receive), the PASR is used to determine which lessee has not reported their total volume.

Report
platform gas and flash gas separately since measured at two different points.
Report
pipeline condensate using Code 16 and its associated FMP.
Back off both volumes since neither pipeline condensate or flash gets needs to be reported to the well level.

Production and Measurement information is in the GOMR site.

Press Releases, Deep Gas, …

Area/Block
will only give FMP’s located on that structure (will not include flash gas);
Oper won’t give FMP’s if meas on diff operator’s platform

Actual
Lease queried was G21532
Use
Unit 8910086400

Do
not require SN’s for allocation meters.
These results for Oper No. 01963

All prod data received and accepted for all wells in the GOM since 1996 is available to public.
